由拉姆薩爾東亞區域中心(RRCEA)、菲律賓濕地學會(SCPW)、英國水鳥與濕地信託基金會(WWT)以及菲律賓拉斯皮納斯濕地公園共同辦理之第八屆亞洲濕地中心年會，於2022年7月26日至7月29日，在菲律賓馬尼拉拉斯皮納斯市順利完成。
作為第七屆舉辦城市的臺北市，以及長期的亞洲濕地中心夥伴網絡的主成員之一的臺北市關渡自然公園，本次派員參與這次盛會。原本兩年舉辦一次，在2018年臺北市舉辦第七屆活動後，應該於2020年舉辦之第八屆濕地年會因為疫情因素，延宕了兩年，終於克服萬難之後，於今年7月得以實體的方式在菲律賓舉辦。
本次年會邀請了亞洲30個國家，50位代表前往。其中還包含了大洋洲與北美洲及歐洲的代表。為期4天的研討會工作，圍繞在「自然療癒」這個主題上，這也代表了世界各國都意識到濕地中心具有自然療癒的功能與價值，各個重量級的濕地中心經營者與濕地專家也在這個主題架構下，去分享他們自己的經驗與發展歷程。
代表本會參與研討會的關渡自然公園環境保育部門組長周品秀，因自小在加拿大長大，自身優異的英文能力加上在關渡自然公園服務多年，讓其代表參與本次研討會，也得以在無語言障礙下，分享了關渡自然公園2022年完成了室內展示區的改造工作以及關渡自然公園的規劃與設計，與主辦方菲律賓拉斯皮納斯市、斯里蘭卡放在同樣的主題討論中。作為城市的綠寶石，關渡自然公園一直以來都在扮演臺北市的自然療癒場所，這次有機會與世界各地的濕地中心夥伴分享了臺北經驗，也代表臺北市政府在這方面的工作受到國際夥伴的青睞，我們一同為濕地推動的工作也被更多人所重視。

The Ramsar Regional Center – East Asia (RRC-EA) and the Society for the Conservation of Philippine Wetlands (SCPW), in collaboration with the Wildfowl and Wetland Trust (WWT), Las Piñas – Parañaque Wetland Park (LPPWP), and with the support of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources, the ASEAN Center for Biodiversity, and NVH Global Limited, successfully hosted in a hybrid format the second part of the 8th Wetland Link International (WLI) – Asia Conference from 26 to 29 July 2022 in the City of Las Piñas, Metro Manila, Philippines.
The event brought together around 50 representatives from 30 wetland centers in Asia, Oceania, North America and Europe, along with other relevant stakeholders belonging to both the public and private sector. Under the theme of “Healing with Nature – Wetlands and Wetland Centers in Focus”, the conference kicked off with a Special Session in which representatives of WLI America, namely Mandy Kern from Kansas Wetland Education Center (online), Nathalie Bays from Oak Hammock Marsh (online), and John De Fillipo from John Bunker Sands Wetland Center (offline), respectively delivered presentations on wetland educational programs, outreach activities, and sustainable use of wetlands for improved water quality and supply.
